Linea Stair Nosing Aluminium Profile

The Linea Stair Nosing Aluminium Profile combines stair-edge protection with integrated linear LED lighting. It mounts directly along the front edge of a stair tread, creating a clearly defined step while the concealed LED strip illuminates the stair zone.

Made from anodised 6063-T5 aluminium, the profile uses a rigid structural body with a ribbed upper surface for added grip. A diffused polycarbonate cover sits along the lighting section and softens the LED output.

Standard length is 2 m.

Built for Stair Edges

The profile forms a protective aluminium edge along the stair tread.

Its upper section extends across the step surface and incorporates longitudinal ribs. Therefore, the aluminium profile adds texture at the point where foot traffic is concentrated while also protecting the stair edge from direct wear.

The curved front section creates a defined transition between the horizontal tread and vertical riser. Meanwhile, the integrated LED channel keeps the lighting source contained within the same extrusion.

This construction suits residential staircases, commercial interiors, corridors and other architectural areas where step definition and integrated lighting need to work together.

Integrated Step Lighting

The LED channel runs continuously along the stair edge and accepts 2835 LED strip at 60 LEDs/m.

Light passes through the diffused PC cover, producing a softer linear glow rather than exposing individual LEDs directly. Consequently, each tread gains a visible illuminated edge that can improve stair definition in low-light conditions.

The light can also contribute to decorative ambient lighting without requiring a separate fixture beneath the step.

Ribbed Tread Surface

Parallel ribs run along the upper aluminium surface.

Besides giving the extrusion its distinctive stair profile, the textured section creates a more defined contact surface at the tread edge. The ribbed top also distinguishes the stair nosing from standard smooth architectural LED channels.

6063-T5 Aluminium Body

The profile uses anodised 6063-T5 aluminium, which gives the stair edge a rigid mounting structure and provides a solid base for the LED strip.

Aluminium also transfers heat away from the LED PCB during operation. In addition, the anodised surface gives the exposed extrusion a clean architectural finish suitable for visible installation.

Installers can cut the 2 m standard length to match individual stair widths.
