Product Description
The ORIX Ceiling Divider Profile creates a precise 12 mm recessed gap between the ceiling and wall. Instead of finishing the gypsum ceiling directly against the wall, the aluminium profile introduces a controlled architectural shadow line around the perimeter.
The detail works without an integrated light source. Therefore, it suits projects that need a clean ceiling-to-wall separation without adding LED strips, drivers or additional electrical components.
Ceiling Divider Profile with a 12 mm Gap
The profile forms a consistent 12 mm reveal where the ceiling meets the vertical wall. Its stepped geometry controls the junction and keeps the separation width uniform along the installation.
Rather than relying on a manually formed plaster gap, installers work with a defined extruded section. This approach gives long ceiling edges a straighter and more repeatable finish.
The dark recessed surface also increases the visual depth of the joint. Meanwhile, the surrounding ceiling and wall remain visually clean because the profile integrates into the finishing system rather than sitting over the completed surface.
A Shadow Line Without Lighting
Not every architectural recess needs illumination.
This profile creates the visual effect through depth, separation and shadow alone. Consequently, designers can introduce a strong perimeter detail in spaces where concealed lighting would add unnecessary complexity.
It works particularly well in minimalist interiors, where a narrow dark line can replace decorative cornices or conventional ceiling trims.
Integrated Ceiling-to-Wall Detail
Installers position the profile at the perimeter during the gypsum and finishing stage. The horizontal section connects with the ceiling construction, while the vertical section follows the wall edge.
In addition, the shaped extrusion creates defined finishing edges for the adjoining surfaces. Once the ceiling and wall finishes are complete, the recessed 12 mm line remains as the primary visible architectural feature.
Careful alignment during installation keeps the gap straight across long wall runs and around connected ceiling areas.
Ceiling Divider Profile Applications
Designers can use the profile around living areas, corridors, offices, reception spaces, retail interiors and other gypsum-ceiling installations. However, its main purpose remains simple: creating a controlled shadow gap between the wall and ceiling without integrated lighting.
