ORIX Axis Deep Surface Mounted Downlight

The ORIX Axis Deep Surface Mounted Downlight is a compact 12W architectural downlight with a deep-set optical centre and clean cylindrical form. Its Ø70 × 100 mm aluminum body mounts directly to the ceiling, while the recessed light source keeps the brightest part of the fitting set back inside the fixture.

With 2000 lm output and CRI 90, it combines high light output with accurate rendering of interior colors, materials and finishes. Color temperatures of 3000K, 4000K and 6500K cover warm, neutral and cool-white lighting requirements.

Light set deep inside the body

The defining detail is the depth around the optical centre. A black internal reflector surrounds the SMD light source and places it well above the lower edge of the fitting rather than directly at ceiling level.

From normal viewing positions, the LED sits less exposed than it would in a shallow surface-mounted downlight. The dark internal cavity also creates a clear visual separation between the illuminated centre and the outer cylindrical body.

This restrained geometry works particularly well in contemporary interiors where the luminaire itself needs to remain compact and architectural. Repeating several Axis Deep fittings in a straight line or regular ceiling grid creates a disciplined lighting layout without requiring recessed installation.

12W with 2000 lm output

The fitting runs at 12W and produces 2000 lumens.

CRI 90 supports more accurate presentation of timber, stone, fabrics, furniture, artwork and interior finishes, making the fixture suitable for projects where light quality is as important as brightness.

Ø70 mm cylindrical body

At Ø70 mm diameter and 100 mm high, Axis Deep keeps a narrow ceiling footprint. The aluminum construction gives the cylindrical housing a clean, solid form with a smooth exterior and minimal visible detailing.

Installation is surface mounted, so the complete body remains below the ceiling rather than requiring the luminaire housing to be recessed into the ceiling void.

It fits naturally into residential interiors, hotel rooms, corridors, reception areas, restaurants and selected retail spaces where compact general or architectural downlighting is required.
