The MEAN WELL XLG-320 LED Driver is a high-power constant-power driver designed for professional LED lighting systems. The XLG-320-L-DA2 combines up to 315W output power, DALI-2 control, a wide 100–305VAC input range, and an IP67 metal enclosure.
Its L-type output range suits high-voltage constant-current LED modules used in large luminaires. In addition, the DALI-2 interface allows the driver to connect directly to compatible digital lighting-control systems.
315W Constant Power Output
The XLG-320-L-DA2 operates across an output range of approximately 150–300V DC with adjustable current from 0.5A to 1.4A.
Within the constant-power region, the driver can maintain full output across a broad current range. Therefore, luminaire designers can use one driver platform with different compatible LED module configurations instead of relying on a narrowly fixed current specification.
The high-voltage output suits large LED arrays used in floodlights, high-bay luminaires, stadium lighting, stage lighting, and other high-output fixtures.
DALI-2 Control
The DA2 version adds integrated DALI-2 dimming.
DALI-2 allows compatible lighting-control systems to digitally address, dim, and manage the driver. Moreover, the XLG-DA2 series supports dimming down to approximately 8%, giving designers considerably more control than a simple switched driver.
This configuration works particularly well in commercial, industrial, infrastructure, and smart-lighting projects where centralized control forms part of the lighting strategy.
IP67 Metal Housing
A sealed metal enclosure gives the driver an IP67 ingress protection rating. As a result, the XLG-320-L-DA2 can operate in indoor and outdoor installations that require protection against dust and moisture.
The housing measures approximately 246 × 77 × 39.5 mm. Despite its 315W power class, the slim chassis remains straightforward to integrate into larger luminaire bodies and accessible equipment compartments.
Natural convection handles cooling, so the driver requires no cooling fan.
Electrical Protection
The XLG-DA2 series incorporates protection against short circuit and over-temperature conditions.
Furthermore, surge protection reaches:
- 6kV line/neutral to earth
- 4kV line to neutral
The wide AC input range also supports operation across different commercial and industrial mains conditions.
MEAN WELL specifies a service life of more than 50,000 hours under the stated operating conditions and backs the XLG-DA2 series with a 5-year manufacturer warranty.
